Introduction to HTML, CSS & JavaScript (5 Days)

This is a five-day hands-on instructor-led training. The training is designed to develop the skills in using HTML, CSS and JavaScript to develop dynamic website.

While using the Internet, you have probably encountered various attractive and useful websites, and you may have formed your own opinions of their capabilities and limitations. However, merely using the Internet will not give you an understanding of how these sites are created. In this course, you will examine the basics of foundational web technology and create your own functional web pages using markup languages such as Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), Extensible Hypertext Markup Language (XHTML), and Cascading Style Sheets (CSS). You will create and design web pages with text, graphics, and data tables. You will then link these web pages to enable navigation between these web pages. You know how to create a basic website. However, for your website to be successful, it must stand out from the crowd and attract visitors. In this course, you will learn skills that will be instrumental in creating advanced web pages. You will create advanced web pages and test their validity.

You will also learn how to use JavaScript to create interactive Web pages. You will learn about the uses and advantages of JavaScript, and will learn how to embed JavaScript code in an HTML document. You will also learn how to use variables, data types, functions, operators, and decision-making and iteration constructs. In addition, students will learn about objects, methods, and properties. Finally, students will learn how to handle events on a form and write scripts for form elements.

They will also learn about the new HTML5 structural, semantic, and form tags, how to use Canvas to create drawings natively in the browser, how to work with HTML5 audio and video, the new methods for storing variables client-side, and how to build applications that work offline. Along the way, they will learn about the current state of browser support for HTML5 and the theory behind all the changes that have been made.
