Q1.  Is there a group or individual discount available?
A.
  Yes, we have group  discount available. A group with 2 or more can receive discount up to 10%.


Q2. Do each student have their own computer during the class?
A.
Yes, each student get a computer to work with except in CompTIA A+ class. The students work in a group during the A+ training. Our classes are designed to be hands-on and very interactive. You will leave our class truly being able to utilize the skills learnt in our classes and feel comfortable going back to your home or work with these skills.

We are located at the cross section of 5 and 57 freeways, close to the Angels Stadium in Orange, few miles from Disneyland in Anaheim. The address 2100 W. Orangewood, Suite 110, Orange, CA 92868.


Q5. What types of training is available at NR Computer Learning Center?
A.
NR Computer Learning Center offers a variety of Training Program that focus on fundamental computer skills and business computer applications. Beginner IT Training involve introductory courses in Internet and Windows fundamentals. The Business Computer Applications training focuses on Microsoft Office 2007 products. Our advance training include Programming language such as Java, .NET, Database Design, Project Management, Data Analysis and Business Intelligent tools. We are continually updating our program to keep current with the needs of our customers. NR Computer Learning Center also provides individualized private classes—with flexible scheduling and convenient access at reasonable rates. Q6. What are the fees for training offered at NRCLC Center?

Q7. When does class start?
A. NR Computer Learning Center holds training during weekdays (day time and evening) and weekends (Saturday). The schedule is listed on the website www.nrclc.com (Schedule)


Q8. How do I sign up online for a training program?
A.
Simply locate the training you are interested in that are listed on the NRCLC website, and select the registration link. You will then be prompted to set up a user account and payment information as well.


Q9. What are the class sizes for your training program?
A.
Our training room accommodate maximum of 12 students. NRCLC reserves the rights to cancel a training program if there are less than 3 student registered for the program.


Q10. Do I get a certificate when I complete a course at NR Computer Learning Center?
A.
Upon request, you can get a Certificate of Completion at the end of training.


Q11. What types of people take classes at NR Computer Learning Center?
A.
Whether you are a beginner or a professional, NR Computer Learning Center has training available to cater to your needs. We cater to people looking to quickly build Technical skills in a short time period, and those who wish to upgraded their technical skills to an intermediate or advanced level in a given topic.


Q12. Can I take Certification test at NR Computer Learning Center?

NRCLC is a Prometric, Pearson Vue and Certiport authorized testing center.  Visit Prometric, Pearson Vue and Certiport website  or call (714) 505-3475  to register for a Microsoft, CISCO, COMPTIA, Adobe, IBM ... Certification exams. 


Q13. What is the Microsoft Certified Application Specialist (MCAS) Certification?
A.
The Microsoft Certified Application Specialist (MCAS) Certification  is  designed to validate desktop computer skills using Microsoft Office 2007 Applications to distinguish you from your competition. These certifications are recognized worldwide as the standard for validating expertise in using Microsoft Office programs and the Windows Vista operating system. There are following 6 MCAS Certification Exam available:
  • Exam 77-600: Microsoft Windows Vista for Business Worker
  • Exam 77-601: Using Microsoft Office Word 2007
  • Exam 77-602: Using Microsoft Office Excel 2007
  • Exam 77-603: Using Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007
  • Exam 77-604: Using Microsoft Office Outlook 2007
  • Exam 77-605: Using Microsoft Office Access 2007

Q15. How can I become MCAS Instructor?
A. To achieve MCAS Master Instructor (MI) status, you need to follow the steps given below:

Step 1: You must take and pass the following 2007 Microsoft Office System exams:

  • Exam 77-600: Microsoft Windows Vista for Business Worker
  • Exam 77-601: Using Microsoft Office Word 2007
  • Exam 77-602: Using Microsoft Office Excel 2007
  • Exam 77-603: Using Microsoft Office PowerPoint 2007
  • Exam 77-604: Using Microsoft Office Outlook 2007
  • Exam 77-605: Using Microsoft Office Access 2007 (optional)

Step 2: Satisfy any one of the following teaching credentials:

  • A diploma or transcript from an accredited educational institution, verifying you have satisfied the requirements for a teaching or training degree, or a copy of your teaching certificate or post-graduate degree.
  • A written letter (on company letterhead) from a current or past employer, verifying you have had at least two years of experience as a competent trainer of Microsoft Office desktop programs.
  • A certificate verifying you have successfully completed a Microsoft approved Presentation Skills or Train-the-Trainer course.
  • An instructor completion certificate from any of the following vendors: CSO Group, CompTIA, Certified Internet Webmaster, Cisco Systems, Citrix, Lotus, Microsoft (MCT), Novell, Oracle or Santa Cruz Operation.

Step 3: Complete the Microsoft Certified Application Specialist Instructor application (login required) and e-mail proof of your instructional experience or credentials to microsoftinstructor@certiport.com

Step 4: When you receive an e-mail asking you to do so, submit your application fee of $95 USD Note: It takes approximately four weeks for the application to be processed. 


Q14. Does NR Computer Learning Center (NRCLC) provide any assistance in preparing for the test?
A. Yes. NRCLC provides "MCAS Test Preparation courses". By attending one of these courses you will obtain all the preparation and support you need to pass your chosen exam. The preparation course includes training, test taking tips, 1 practice test, 1 live exam  and 1 free re-sit should you fail. On completion and passing your exam you will receive an official certificate from Microsoft. For more information on the course, please call (714) 505-3475.

Q16. What is the benefit of MCAS Certification?
A. The Microsoft Certified Application Specialist Certification  measures the expertise in using the Microsoft Office and Windows Vista operating system. The Certificate can help you become more  competitive and confident in today's competitive job market, and result in higher earning potential. Microsoft Certified Application Specialist Certification also  helps employee increase their competence, productivity and credibility with their colleagues and clients. Q17. What is the process for taking the MCAS Exam at NRCLC?
A. To take a test you need a voucher. You can purchase exam only vouchers for MCAS with a free re-sit (if you fail) from our testing center. If you have purchased a voucher from another provider or you have a free re-sit voucher, in these cases you will need to pay a proctoring fee ($10) to use our facility and resource for proctoring your exam or practice test.  The MCAS exams are approximately one hour. Scoring of answers is based on the end result, not on the route or time taken to complete the task. The test results are displayed immediately and printed as soon as the test is completed. An official MCAS certification will be sent via the post to successful candidates four to six weeks after the completion of an exam. It's a valuable credential recognized worldwide and it is a proof that you have the Specialized knowledge in Microsoft Office 2007 that is required to work more productively and efficiently than many of your peers.
