Q2. What is CompTIA A+ Certification?

The CompTIA A+ is an industry standard certification for entry-level computer support and IT technicians. It measures a technician's hardware and software knowledge. The CompTIA A+ Certification exam covers preventative maintenance, basic networking, installation, troubleshooting, communication and professionalism.  There are over 700,000 people worldwide that are CompTIA A+ certified. The U.S. Military approves CompTIA A+ to fulfill certification requirements for Technical Level 1 positions. The CompTIA A+ Practical Application exam 220-702 measures the necessary competencies for an entry-level IT professional who has hands-on experience in the lab or the field. Successful candidates will have the skills required to install, configure, upgrade, and maintain PC workstations, the Windows OS and SOHO networks. The CompTIA Network+ Certification is for networking professionals. The CompTIA Network+ exam covers managing, maintaining, troubleshooting, operating and configuring basic network infrastructure. Within four weeks of passing a certification exam, you will receive an official certificate in the mail with an CompTIA  logo from CompTIA that highlights your accomplishment.

The registration for CompTIA exam is a two step process. The first step requires you to purchase a voucher for the Exam. The second step involves registering for the CompTIA test with Prometric or www.pearsonvue.com. Once registered, you need to select the location closest to you and the time that is convenient to you.
