What is a QuickBooks Certified User (QBCU)?

QuickBooks Certified User certification validates the newly acquired QuickBooks skills for an entry-level position in professional accountancy and effectively proves bookkeeping skills, including how to create purchase orders, track sales and expenses, produce and manage invoices, and monitor financial records.

The objectives of the certification exam is to reflect the student's grasp of accounting concepts while sharpening the skills in the most prevalent bookkeeping application (QuickBooks) used in small businesses today.

What type of exams are the QuickBooks Certified User (QBCU) exams?

The QBCU exams are multi-choice online questions that test candidate’s knowledge on the use of the QuickBooks software for accounting and bookkeeping principles and procedures.

• Number of Questions: 50 total

• Duration: Up to 50 minutes

What can I expect if I pass the QuickBooks Certified User exam?

As soon as you pass the QBCU exam, your name and exam results are automatically transferred to Certiport. Within four weeks of passing a certification exam, you will receive an email notification of your official digital certificate that is posted at your Certiport account with the QBCU logo that highlights your accomplishment.

What is the process for getting an QuickBooks User Certificate?

It is a five step process:

1. Select the level of certification you wish to achieve (QB Premier/Pro 2009, 2010, and 2011)
2. Prepare for the exam
3. Find a Certiport Authorized Testing Center
4. Register for the Test
5. Take the exam

Within four weeks of passing a certification exam, you will receive an official certificate in the mail with QBUC logo from Intuit that highlights your accomplishment.

How do I register for a QuickBooks Certified User exam?

To take the test, you first need a voucher for QBUC exam. You can purchase a QBUC voucher with free retake for $149 from our website at http://www.nrclc.com/schedule/Scheduling_For_Exam.html, call us at (714) 505-3475 or send an email to info@nrclc.com. When you purchase a QBUC Voucher, you will receive the voucher number via email within one business day.

Once you have the voucher, you need to register for the test. If you want to take the test at NR Computer Learning Center, located at 2100 W. Orangewood, Suite 110, Orange, CA, schedule it online via http://www.nrclc.com/schedule/Scheduling_For_Exam.html or call the center at 714 505-3475 to setup an appointment to take the test. We are open Monday to Saturday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

On the day of the exam, you will need to bring in with you an official photo id, the voucher number and money to pay the proctoring fee.
Note: Every testing center have different proctoring fee. If you are taking the test at NR Computer Learning Center, the proctoring fee is $15, payable of the day of the test.

The QBUC exams are approximately one hour long. The test results are displayed immediately and printed as soon as the test is completed.

Does NR Computer Learning Center (NRCLC) provide any assistance in preparing for the exam?

NRCLC provides the following assistance in preparing for the exam:

• Hands-on Classroom Training: Student can select a course from our list of scheduled class. The scheduled classes are held at our training facility located in Orange, CA. These classes are good for students who like to learn in a small group environment with maximum of 12 student per training sessions. We also have a testing center, where student have the option for registering for the QBUC exam right after the training.
• Corporate Training: Companies have the option to send their employees to our training facility in Orange or have our instructor provide instruction at their facility.
