Afterschool- Computer Science and Computer Camp offered in Orange for students in Orange, Irvine, Tustin, Newport Beach, Orange county, LA county, Laguna Beach, Long Beach, Los Angeles, Huntington Beach, Diana Point, Riverside, San Diego, Santa Ana, Yorba LindaBuild your foundation in Technology with our live-online after school and on-site Saturday Computer Classes led by NRCLC Certified instructor as part of the STEM program. We at NR Computer Learning Center understand that early adolescence is a time of positive transition and growth. At NR Computer Learning Center (NRCLC) Afterschool Program, we provide an environment where youth can work with their peers while exploring and developing new skills and interests in technology. Students can take online classes from a location convenient to them or in person at our location in Orange.

After School (Live-Online)

Session I : 1/9-3/20/17 | Session 2: 3/20 – 5/21/17
The classes consist of a live instructor to go over the lecture at the scheduled hour. The students will have access to video, lecture, notes, exercises and quizzes. The students will also work on projects. During the week, the instructor will be available to answer any questions students may have via email and Skype. Program Info

About Our Program

NRCLC’s technology related classes are aligned with STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics). Online classes are held to help students develop software development skills. Our Inquiry-Based Teaching methodologies and progressive design to developing student’s skills in programming help students to generate a love for learning technology. We maintain a small class size of 10 students to instructor ratio. Using active partnership with technology businesses provides students the exposure to real-world applications usage.

NRCLC courses training in various technical courses including:

  • building, installing operating system & troubleshooting computer
  • developing 2D games & programming a robot
  • making and editing their movie
  • taking and editing digital pictures
  • building their website or web profile using WordPress
  • learning HTML and JavaScript to develop an interactive website
  • learning programming languages (Java, C, C++, C#, Python)
  • building their applications, creating a project
  • designing a database to store information
  • learning computer network and security

We also provide students the opportunity to learn technology by volunteering at our summer camps. Our instructors also provide guidance and classes to our students on how they can pursue their interests in technology in high school and college.

Program Director: Vazi Okhandiar, MCT, PMP, MBA, MSCS

Microsoft Trainer, Project Manager, SEO Expert, Software Design and Development, MBA, MCT, PMP, MSCSVazi Okhandiar has over 20 years of teaching experience in Computer Science courses and Microsoft Products. Vazi teaches both kids and adults. She has been helping students prepare for AP Computer Science exam and Microsoft Certification Exam. She has worked in the capacity of managing, architecture, designing and implementing information technology projects for large clients such as the World Bank, General Motors, HP/EDS, Toyota, CSC, Olympus and Mitsubishi, as well as numerous small and medium size enterprises.

Vazi has an MBA from the University of California, Irvine, a Master’s in Computer Science from the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from University of California, Irvine. She is also Microsoft Certified Training providing Microsoft and software development training.
