Our courses are designed to help students who are planning to take AP® Computer Science in high school, as well as, those students who are interested in programming, mobile app development, software engineering, robotics and more. For students who are planning to take High School AP® Computer Science, we recommend the following courses:

University of California (UC) grants credit for all College Board Advanced Placement tests on which a student scores 3 or higher.

For students who would like to challenge themselves and further enhance their learning, we also offer Associate level Certification Prep courses for Microsoft, Oracle, CompTIA and C++ Institute Exams. These Certificates validate students’ skill sets in Programming Languages and Software Development, and provide a unique resume profile in preparation for college or perhaps a summer job.

*Students are required to bring their laptop to the class to practice hand-on exercises. Students will need Java and Eclipse installed on their laptop. Follow the steps given below:
1. To install Java, visit http://www.oracle.com/technetwork/java/javase/downloads/jdk8-downloads-2133151.html and download “Java SE Development Kit 8u11″ software based on your operating system. Double click the downloaded Java software to install it on your computer.
2. To install Eclipse (as IDE for Java Development), visit https://eclipse.org/downloads/
 and use download link on the right side of the “Eclipse IDE for Java Developers”  on the page to download the software based on your operating system.
3. Unzip downloaded Eclipse file an extract the file to c:\ folder.

Programming with Java (24 hr)- Learn the basics of Java programming language to build software. Students will use variables, classes, expressions, flow control, loops and more to develop an application! This is an excellent introductory course for students planning to take AP Computer Science, want to develop software or become a game programmer. Prereq: Computer Basic or equivalent.
Introduction to C++: Learn the basics of C++ programming to build software using Microsoft Visual Studio. Students will learn to use common functions, expressions, flow control, loops and more, to develop an application! This is an excellent introductory course for students who plan to take an AP Computer Science, start a career in software development, become a game programmer – one of the hottest career fields today – or preparing for Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) Certification ExamPrereq: Computer Basic or equivalent.
Object Orient Programming (24 hr)- Once a student has mastered the basics of C++ or Java programming, then they are ready to learn some of the Advance Object Oriented concepts such as creating classes, objects, method, constructors, polymorphism, arrays, strings, dynamic data and more, to develop interactive applications. This is an excellent course for student planning to take AP Computer Science, develop software, want to become a game programmer or preparing for Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) 361, 362, 363, 372, 373 Certification Exam. Prereq: Programming with Java Basic, C++ or equivalent.
Introduction to Data Structure and Algorithms (24 hr)- Once a student has mastered the basics of C++ or Java programming, then they are ready to learn some of the Advance programming concepts such as selection-sort, merge sort, heap sort, stacks, queues, search, finding minimum and maximum, successor and predecessor, insertion and deletion. This is an excellent course for student planning to take AP Computer Science, develop software, want to become a game programmer or preparing for Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) 361, 362, 363, 372, 373 Certification Exam. Prereq: Programming with Java Basic, C++ or equivalent.

Microsoft Trainer, Project Manager, SEO Expert, Software Design and Development, MBA, MCT, PMP, MSCSVazi Okhandiar has over 20 years of teaching experience in Computer Science courses and Microsoft Products. Vazi teaches both kids and adults. She has been helping students prepare for AP Computer Science exam and Microsoft Certification Exam. She is currently on the Advisory Board of the Irvine Valley College and a SCORE Counselor for small businesses. She has worked in the capacity of managing, architecture, designing and implementing information technology projects for large clients such as the World Bank, General Motors, HP/EDS, Toyota, CSC, Olympus and Mitsubishi, as well as numerous small and medium size enterprises. Vazi has an MBA from the University of California, Irvine, a Master’s in Computer Science from the Illinois Institute of Technology, Chicago, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from University of California, Irvine.
