. What is Microsoft Technology Associate Certification?

  • 98-349: Windows OS Fundamentals
  • 98-365: Windows Server Admin Fundamentals
  • 98-366: Networking Fundamentals
  • 98-367: Security Fundamentals
  • 98-361: Software Development Fundamentals
  • 98-368: Mobility and Device Fundamentals
  • 98-375: HTML5 Application Dev Fundamentals
  • 98-381: Introduction to Programming Using Python

You will receive a Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) certificate from Microsoft when you pass any one of the above exams.

As the individuals gain more experience in using Microsoft Technology, they have the option to take an advanced exam to become Microsoft IT Professional, Professional Developer, Microsoft Certified Master, and Microsoft Certified Architect.

5. What is the process for getting an MTA Certificate?

NR Computer Learning Center (NRCLC) is a Microsoft Partner and an Authorized Testing Center located in Orange County. NRCLC provides an on-site and online training, online practice test and access to the testing facility to anyone interested in Microsoft Technology Associate (MTA) Certification exam.

Following is the five-step process for getting an MTA certification:

  1. Select the MTA exam you wish to certify in.
  2. Prepare for the exam.
  3. Purchase an MTA Voucher: You will need an MTA voucher to take the exam. If you do not have an MTA voucher then you can purchase an MTA voucher from our center by calling us at (714) 505-3475 or by Click here to purchase a voucher online from NR Computer Learning Center for the MTA exam. Note: Please allow 24 hours for processing the order. The voucher number will be to be transmitted to you via the “Contact Email” address you provided in the order process.
  4. Register for the exam:
    Once you have the voucher, you will need to register for the test. If you are located in Southern California, you can take the test at NR Computer Learning Center (NRCLC). NRCLC is an Certiport authorized testing center located in Southern California. The testing center is open from Monday to Saturday from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM.   5. Take the exam: On the day of the exam, you will need to bring with you the following 2 items:
    1. Drivers License or Student ID with photo (Unexpired)
    2. MTA Voucher number

The MTA exam is approximately one hour long. The score is based on the end result, not on the time taken to complete the test. The test results are displayed immediately and can be printed as soon as the test is completed.

An official Microsoft certificate with the Microsoft logo is mailed by Microsoft to the candidates  within four to six weeks after successfully passing the exam. Microsoft will also send an email with the instructions for generating Microsoft ID. The Microsoft ID and logo can be added to your resume to showcase your knowledge of Microsoft Technology.
