This program introduces students to the Microsoft Office
environment, including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint. It
covers the basic tasks common across Office applications, such as
navigation, starting and exiting programs, working with files,
editing text and printing functions. An in-depth exploration of
document formatting is also provided. This course provides
hands-on classes in Word (word processing), Excel (spreadsheet)
and PowerPoint (presentation), covering the
basic functions of each of the applications.
Introduction to Word ..... The
students will learn to use Microsoft Word to create a professional
looking document such as a reports, greeting cards, fliers and newsletters.
The students will learn to set font style and size, border and shades,
set paragraph attributes, line spacing, creating columns, using
bullets & numbering, using spell and grammar checker, formatting
page by setting margins, orientation, header and footer, creating
a Table of Content page, adding graphs and pictures to the document,
creating and formatting table, rows, columns and cells, clipart,
WordArt and AutoShapes.
Introduction to Excel .....The students will learn to create spreadsheets using Microsoft
Excel. The students will learn to move through the cells, enter
data, set page properties such as header, footer, page number, margin
and orientation; to set cell format for date and time, and percentage;
to create Excel spreadsheet with formulas using sum, average, maximum
and minimum; to use sorting and filtering; to add graphics; to create
and modify charts; to enhance the Excel spreadsheet by using graphics
such as clip art and AutoShapes; to merge cells; to delete and add
cells and columns.
Introduction to PowerPoint ..... The students will learn the basic features of PowerPoint
to create eye catching Presentations by learning to set theme, add
clip arts, auto shapes, pictures, Word Art, scanned images and animation.
Introduction to Access .....
The students will learn the basic features of Microsoft Access
using database objects such as table, query, form and report. The
students will also learn to create table, define field properties,
add and modify records and sort and filter data.
