Special
hands-on computer classes designed to teach kids to take picture
with digital camera, transfer them to the computer and to
organize them. The kids will also learn the techniques using
Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign to editing digital pictures,
removing wrinkles and red eyes, creating digital images to
enhance school reports, presentations, brochures, newsletters,
and multimedia productions. Kids have lots of fun while working
on different project using computers.
Student
will acquire skills in the following areas:
Fundamental
of Graphic Design: Learn the basic skills and techniques
with a variety of materials for projects and activities, understand
and evaluate the terminology and procedures involved in the
design process, demonstrate skills and knowledge necessary
to work with design elements, demonstrate a beginning skill
level with Adobe Illustrator and develop the work habits and
attitudes of design professionals.
Photoshop:
Students will learn to use the software tools necessary to
access and manipulate basic graphic elements and text and
incorporate them into business presentations and products,
such as brochures, business cards, newsletters, reports, and
multimedia productions
Illustrator:
It provides instruction and hands-on training in the use of
state-of-the-art microcomputers, laser printers, and various
desktop publishing packages. Students will learn to produce
camera-ready, near typeset-quality reports, newsletters, business
forms, and presentations.
In
Design:
It provides instruction and hands-on training various
word processing/graphic software packages on microcomputers
to produce reports, newsletters, business forms, and presentations.
Pre
Press:
This course concentrates on Prepress production techniques
as they relate to the offset printing process. Various software
tools and techniques are considered as they relate to the
print production process. The students will develop a working
knowledge of the the offset printing process, gain an understanding
of how to prepare a printable design, consider how to buy
printing services, learn to manipulate color for the printing
process and continue to develop software techniques relevant
to preparing a design for press.
