Microsoft Project Management

The instructor-led hands-on course provides the student with the knowledge and skills required to manage projects using Microsoft Project. The training is appropriate for new project managers and project coordinators with less than 1-year experience managing Technology projects. The course begins with the basic concepts of project management and leads students through all the functions they’ll need to plan and execute a project, including leveling resources, managing the cost and monitoring the schedule progress. In this course, the students will create a project plan with the task, resources, timeline, and cost estimation. The students will also learn how to modify calendar, develop and update a project plan, integrate & manage multiple projects and generate various format of management reports such as Gantt chart, percentage completion chart, and resource utilization chart. This course is also suitable for anyone preparing for Microsoft Project Certification Exam. Prerequisites: Knowledge of computer basic.

Instructor

Vazi Okhandiar, MCT, PMP, MBA, MSCS

VaziVazi has over 20 years of experience in Project Management and IT Training. She is PMP certified by the Project Management Institute, Microsoft, and CompTIA. She has an MBA from the University of California and a Master in Computer Science from Illinois Institute of Technology. She has worked for the United Nations, General Motors, Toyota, EDS/HP, and Mitsubishi. Her expertise includes project management, architecture, design, and implementation of software development projects for various industries, including manufacturing, financial, healthcare, and automotive. Vazi has been awarded as “Excellence in Development” for an Electronic Billing System by Mitsubishi’s telecommunication division, and Product Data Management System at Electronic Data Systems (EDS).
