1. What is Microsoft Technology Associate Certification?

Information Technology Specialist (ITS) is an entry-level industry-recognized certification that validates the fundamental knowledge in Microsoft technology. ITS is for students, an individual changing careers, or anyone else wanting to explore a career in technology.

You will receive an Information Technology Specialist (ITS) certificate from Certiport/Pearson when you pass any one of the above exams.

4. What is the process for getting an ITS Certificate?

NR Computer Learning Center (NRCLC) is a Microsoft Partner and an Authorized Testing Center located in Orange County. NRCLC provides on-site and online training, online practice test, and access to the testing facility to anyone interested in the Information Technology Specialist (ITS) Certification exam.

Following is the five-step process for getting an ITS certification:

  1. Select the ITS exam you wish to certify in.
  2. Prepare for the exam.
  3. Purchase an ITS Voucher: You will need an ITS voucher to take the exam. If you do not have an ITS voucher then you can purchase an ITS voucher from our center by calling us at (714) 505-3475 or by clicking here to purchase a voucher online from NR Computer Learning Center for the ITS exam. Note: Please allow 24 hours for processing the order. The voucher number will be to be transmitted to you via the “Contact Email” address you provided in the order process.
  4. Register for the exam:
    Once you have the voucher, you will need to register for the test. If you are located in Southern California, you can take the test at NR Computer Learning Center (NRCLC). NRCLC is a Certiport authorized testing center located in Southern California. The testing center is open from Monday to Saturday from 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM.   5. Take the exam: On the day of the exam, you will need to bring with you the following 2 items:
    1. Drivers License or Student ID with photo (Unexpired)
    2. ITS Voucher number

The ITS exam is approximately one hour long. The score is based on the end result, not on the time taken to complete the test. The test results are displayed immediately and can be printed as soon as the test is completed.

An official Microsoft certificate with the Microsoft logo is mailed by Microsoft to the candidates within four to six weeks after successfully passing the exam. Microsoft will also send an email with the instructions for generating Microsoft ID. The Microsoft ID and logo can be added to your resume to showcase your knowledge of Microsoft Technology.
